It Started as a Simple Idea…
From the moment Kamala Harris announced that she was running for President, our phones, social media, and emails were buzzing with people asking the same question: What can we do to help?
Over a dozen friends met for drinks in Tampa, Florida to discuss how people from all backgrounds and with various levels of experience could do something to make a difference. The group put together a list of events they could host, volunteering they could do, and a pledge to involve others.
Then we realized: everyone is going to need a way to gather and share information for this campaign and we are all going to need it fast.
Coffee for Kamala was created – with its sister movement Cocktails for Kamala – as a way for all of us to meet in groups, large or small, and build on the momentum of this campaign to help her win this critical election.
If you’re not sure where to start, trust us: you’re not alone. The good news is that we have a group of volunteers and organizers standing by to help. All you need to do is let us know what you’d like to do and we’ll help you get plugged in. Everyone is needed and every phone call, post card, text, donation, and voter conversation matters so let’s go make history together!
